My Background and Approach
I have been a Licensed Counseling Psychologist in California since 2016. I have earned my B.A., M.Ed., and Ph.D. degrees from University of Missouri-Columbia’s Counseling Psychology program. Through my training, I specialized in applying evidence-based treatment through a strong framework of multiculturalism. My core goal is to help clients be true to themselves and reveal how they may be performative in other aspects of their life. As a self-identified Black female, I bring a unique, transparent, and relatable experience to build a trusting therapeutic relationship. I consider therapy a success when clients observe and vocalize changes in their symptoms and quality of life. I strive to identify clients’ successes throughout treatment particularly when they may not see them on their own.
