About My Clients
You may be navigating the impact of trauma, difficult relationships, life transitions, anxiety, or experiences that have changed the way you see yourself and the world around you. You may know that you want things to feel different but aren't quite sure where to begin. I especially support women, survivors of domestic violence, and those rebuilding safety, confidence, and connection. I welcome first-time clients seeking nonjudgmental space. I believe therapy needs to meet you where you are.
My Background and Approach
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Walden University completing my clinical training with Pride of Nyla. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, relationships, women’s mental health, and supporting survivors of interpersonal and domestic violence. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, collaborative, and strengths-based. I recognize that what brings someone to therapy is shaped by their relationships, culture, family, community, and lived experiences. I aim to understand not only what you are going through, but also the context in which it is happening. As a clinical intern, I provide services under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor, allowing me to integrate ongoing guidance and consultation into my work. My goal is to create a respectful, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is not about asking people to forget what they have survived or minimizing what it took for them to get here. It is about creating space for people to reconnect with their voice, recognize their strengths, and determine what moving forward means for them. That belief also guides my work as the Founder and Executive Director of From Pain to Power, a nonprofit created to support and empower survivors of domestic violence. My advocacy work has strengthened my commitment to creating spaces where survivors are believed, respected, and supported without judgment. I value culturally responsive care, advocacy, empowerment, and honoring each person's lived experience. These values align with my clinical training at Pride of Nyla, where I continue learning how to support clients as whole people, not simply through a diagnosis or the experiences that brought them to therapy.
