About My Clients
My clients are often the people everyone else relies on. You’re the one who shows up, gets things done, takes care of everyone else, and tries to keep the peace—but lately, you’re realizing you don’t have much left for yourself. You may be a first-generation adult, a mom, or someone navigating the expectations that come with family, culture, and being the person who is “supposed to have it all together.” You might find yourself feeling guilty for decisions or overthinking conversations.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy should feel like someone sitting across from you telling you what you should do. Instead, I want to help you understand yourself, make sense of what you’re feeling, and figure out what you actually want.I draw from evidence-based approaches while tailoring therapy to each individual person.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you can love your family deeply and still need boundaries. You can be grateful for where you come from and still question some of the expectations you grew up with. You can care about other people without constantly putting yourself last. I also believe therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart. Sometimes you’re simply tired of feeling the way you’ve been feeling and want a space to step back, reflect, and understand yourself better. As a first-generation Latina, I understand how complicated it can be to balance your own wants and needs with family expectations and cultural values. I value creating a space where those experiences can be talked about openly, without judgment or having to explain why they matter. I believe you deserve to make decisions that feel right for you, not just decisions that keep everyone else comfortable. And I believe learning to take care of yourself doesn’t mean you’re selfish; you deserve care too.
