About My Clients
I love working with children and teens who may be experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, stress management, and trauma. I take a child-centered, relational approach to therapy with the strong belief that secure and connected relationships change our brain and help us heal. In a session with me you can expect to be met with non-judgement, curiosity, compassion and even fun!
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings including schools, inpatient psychiatry, and grief centers. I use a variety of techniques including parts work, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as, therapeutic play and art-based activities. Additionally, I hold a certification in Nature-Based counseling and love to take clients outside in a variety of capacities to further support the healing process.
