About My Clients
You just became a parent, or you're about to. The relationship that worked before doesn't quite fit the life you're stepping into. You're both trying to figure out who you are to each other now, often while exhausted, often without a model for what you're trying to build. You're in the middle of a significant life change and you want to stay connected through it, not just survive it.
My Background and Approach
I work with couples and individuals navigating major life transitions, with a particular focus on new and expectant parents who are consciously building relationships on their own terms. This spring I'm opening a small group cohort for couples: eight sessions beginning May 15, combining emotionally focused therapy with a reflecting circle format. Three couples, $65 per person per session. Reach out to learn more or request a screening call. For couples outside the group, I offer individual couples therapy grounded in emotionally focused and expressive arts approaches, focused on the attachment patterns and communication breakdowns that tend to surface when life changes shape who you are to each other. For individuals, I work with overachievers and recovering perfectionists who've spent years managing everyone else and are working to come back to themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health symptoms often represent creative adjustments—adaptive responses to life experiences that made sense at the time but may need updating as your life changes. Healing happens when we can be authentic in relationship with others. Everyone deserves to exist without performing perfection. As a therapist, I'm committed to decolonizing therapy and creating space that honors all identities and relationship structures. I actively support LGBTQ+ rights and believe that therapy should affirm rather than pathologize queer identities and relationships. I'm passionate about breaking down barriers that prevent marginalized communities from accessing quality mental health care. Therapy works best when it's collaborative. You bring expertise on your own life while I bring knowledge of psychology and therapeutic approaches. My job is to help you create connections and a life that fits your values.
