About My Clients
Culture, family, relationships, and life experiences can shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially when talking about emotions or asking for help was not part of how you grew up. I want therapy to be a place where you don’t have to choose between honoring where you come from and taking care of yourself.
My Background and Approach
I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, stress, and life transitions. Sometimes you know exactly what you need help with, and sometimes you just know that something doesn’t feel right. Either way, we can start there. I use different therapeutic approaches depending on the person and what they’re looking for. My goal is for therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable being honest, understood, and supported as you figure things out.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a brown girl and daughter of immigrants, I understand how deeply culture, family, and our experiences can shape who we are. I value creating space for people to talk about the parts of their identity and life experiences that may not always feel understood by others. I also have an understanding of DACA and immigration-related experiences and the uncertainty, stress, and family dynamics that can come with them. I believe you shouldn’t have to leave your culture, values, or roots at the door when you come to therapy.
