About My Clients

Many of the people I work with are difficult to put into a neat category. They may be navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, family challenges, chronic stress, life transitions, neurodivergence, or the demands of caring for others. They may have felt misunderstood, overwhelmed, or like their experiences do not fit simple explanations. I value working with people who want more than quick fixes—people seeking understanding, connection, and a path forward that fits who they are.

My Background and Approach

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for nearly 25 years and have spent much of my career working with children, adults, and families in community and home-based settings. Being invited into people’s homes and everyday lives has taught me that healing does not happen in isolation. It happens within relationships, families, communities, and the realities people navigate every day. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and relationship-based. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of being invited into people’s homes and lives. I have sat around kitchen tables with families who did not look like me, sound like me, or share my experiences, and I have considered it an honor to be welcomed into those spaces. Those experiences taught me the importance of listening first, staying curious, and understanding each person’s story rather than making assumptions. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome clients across diverse identities and backgrounds. I continue to learn about anti-racism and examine my own perspectives, recognizing that growth is an ongoing process. I value humility, openness, and compassion in my work. I have also spent many years involved in animal rescue and advocacy, experiences that have stre
