I strive to help you break free from unhelpful cycles, and bring you into alignment with your truest self.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is warm and compassionate, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to openly share your struggles. I often use an insight-oriented approach, as I believe increasing self-understanding can help guide us toward positive change. I also use different modalities based on each individual's needs, helping individuals learn how to better cope, manage life’s difficulties, and create healthier relationships in their lives. My hope is to provide you an opportunity to further understand whatever issues you are facing, and work collaboratively together in aligning you closer with your life vision and a better quality of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I specialize working with Asian American / AAPI clients, and prioritize cultural sensitivity and understanding. I approach each individual with openness and respect for their unique cultural background, values, and experiences, and particularly help clients to explore cultural identity, family dynamics, and the intersection of cultural factors with their mental health concerns. I am also LGBTQ+ affirmative, and I aim to understand all aspects of your identity and the socio-political factors affecting your experience. I value social justice in both my personal and professional life, and endeavor to help my clients move toward healing and increased self-empowerment.
