About My Clients
Are you searching for emotional healing, self discovery, or healing for relationships? Whether you are feeling haunted by the past, undergoing a loss or transition, experiencing anxiety or depression, or navigating loneliness and the search for meaningful relationships, you don't have to journey alone. Reflecting, discovering, and releasing in the presence of a grounded and attuned other can lead to healing, clarity, and freedom. I look forward to being a companion in your "hills and valleys."
My Background and Approach
Before beginning my counseling career, I worked with women in substance abuse recovery, adolescents recovering from sexual abuse and trafficking, immigrants and refugees living in Europe, and elementary-age children in an after-school setting. Through my travels, experiences, relationships, and personal healing journey, I have come to know “deep in my bones” that healing, hope, and a meaningful life are always available to us. I have my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, including focused studies in systems theory, racial justice, spiritual/religious integration and issues, trauma care, and neurobiology. My theoretical foundation for counseling is person-centered, attachment-based, and emotionally-focused. With clients, I integrate a variety of interventions based on present needs and collaboration. We may address thoughts and beliefs, emotions, body-based sensations and symptoms, internal "parts," relationships, and/or spirituality. We go at the speed your body needs!
