About My Clients
I work with couples caught in recurring conflict, disconnection, betrayal, or uncertainty about their future. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, grief, relationship loss, family conflict, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with individuals who feel lonely, overwhelmed, or unsure how to express their needs. My clients want to understand the patterns shaping their relationships and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee with Explore Counseling Group, practicing under licensed supervision. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, attachment theory, and family systems. I help clients slow down painful cycles and explore the emotions, needs, and protective responses beneath conflict, withdrawal, anxiety, and self-criticism. I integrate strengths-based, trauma-informed, somatic, mindfulness, and cognitive approaches based on each client's goals. My previous work in eating-disorder and behavioral-health treatment strengthened my understanding of shame, body image, emotional regulation, trauma, and coping. My background as a yoga instructor also informs my awareness of how emotional experiences live in the body. I do not believe people need to be fixed. Together, we will understand the patterns that once protected you, make difficult emotions easier to tolerate, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people make sense within the context of their histories, relationships, cultures, and environments. Behaviors that seem confusing or self-defeating often began as forms of protection. I value curiosity over judgment, compassion alongside accountability, and each person's right to define a meaningful life and healthy relationships for themselves. I am committed to affirming care across identities, cultures, beliefs, relationship structures, and family configurations. Therapy should respect your autonomy, not impose the therapist's values or prescribe one correct way to live or love. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy yoga, strength training, psychology, art, travel, nature, and deep conversations about what makes us human. I care deeply about relationships, personal growth, animals, and living in ways that cause as little harm as possible.
