About My Clients
Do you feel like you have a lot of trauma that you buried for so long due to shame and stigma? Do you feel like your buried trauma interferes with your quality of life? Do you feel as if you're supposed to just get over it, but you're haunted by memories? Do you feel as if life is not ideal?
My Background and Approach
After graduating with an undergraduate and graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, I interned at West Angeles Counseling Center and Daz Foundation. For the past 2 years, I have worked as an LMFT at 2 group practices with clients who suffer from depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and ADHD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In regards to counseling, I don’t believe the therapist should work harder than the client, is there to fix the problem, or control the client’s behavior or attitude. I believe the therapist helps the client explore options, but mainly hear the client without judgment, and allow them to make the decision. Second, I want the client to move from being a victim, to survivor, and finally to thriver. Finally, I believe that the therapist allows for a new experience of attachment so that the client has a secure base to carry within themselves internally.
