About My Clients
I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related emotions. Anxiety and depression can overlap with many different life stressors. As well as depression, including situational depression. It can be difficult to process multiple feelings at once. We will create a treatment plan together, with goals that are tailored to your needs, in a timeframe that works!
My Background and Approach
Anyone who tries to make the commitment to start therapy deserves a lot of credit! To me, therapy needs to be an individualized experience because talking to someone new is scary, none the less about your feelings. Which is why I have built an approach to ease into the process by combining three different components. The philosophy of "meeting the client where they are", prioritizing the therapeutic relationship, and creating an understanding of what you're hoping therapy looks like. From this point on, we would have the foundational tools to continue interpersonal care, but explore more evidence-based treatment modalities as well. In my experience, I have learned that what sets apart a good from a great therapist is having an innate ability to empathize and listen. Yes, the purpose of therapy is to work through difficult areas of our lives, but it is also to be seen. Meaning, being respected and acknowledged. I am a therapist who will always strive to be in that great category for you
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The most crucial part of the therapeutic process is the client. Meaning, it is important to always focus on an interpersonal approach first. This approach involves getting to know how you see you, and the hidden strengths that you have. By building on your strengths, we can start approaching in depth therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
