My Background and Approach
I work with clients who may be struggling with intense emotions and difficulty maintaining their relationships. During our initial sessions, I will gladly empathetically listen to your story, develop trust, and collaborate with you on the issues that you want to focus on. Most clients tend to see a gradual change in their symptoms after a month of consistent therapy. In my therapy practice, I lean towards Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help you gain skills to manage your symptoms. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy gives you the skills you need to advocate for yourself and maintain relationships, how to decrease the intensity of your emotions, remain more present and relaxed in your life, and how to appropriately maintain your emotions.
