About My Clients
I have experience working with adult and adolescent clients seeking support with a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, effects of trauma and violence, grief and loss, relationships, life changes, and high stress or abuse at home, work, or school.
My Background and Approach
I bring the lessons of my past career advocating for survivors of domestic violence and recent immigrants and helping clients navigate complex systems during turbulent times. I take a humanistic approach to therapy. This means your unique experience and inner wisdom will guide our work together. There are no one-size-fits-all methods here. I cultivate a space to speak authentically about trauma and systems of oppression that affect us daily. I would be honored to plant those seeds of healing and wholeness with you. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value authentic relationships and a deeply rooted sense of self. I am inspired by each person’s unique capacities for healing and growth. When not working, I am often playing with my child, gardening, reading, and making music. I am not complacent about my privilege as a white, cis-gendered man and the systemic inequalities that cause so much unnecessary suffering. I find hope in the struggle for freedom from oppression and exploitation. I try to join in with movements and communities that keep this hope alive.
