About My Clients

If you're experiencing problems with motivation, focus, feelings of sadness, excessive worrying, or any thoughts or feelings that are disrupting your daily life, please consider reaching out. Sometimes people just need a safe place to express themselves, or they need help changing their patterns, or just figuring out why they do what they do. I can help!

My Background and Approach

If you are looking for a warm, welcoming place to discuss any issue, thought, or problem you've been dealing with without judgment or closed-mindedness, then I could be a great fit for you! I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and I'm licensed as a mental health counselor in Massachusetts. I have a very friendly, laid-back personality and am always eager to help and use a lot of humor in my general approach; however, I am also very comfortable working through serious and difficult subjects in a calm, supportive way. I'm a very happy, positive person and can always find a silver lining in almost any situation!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I don't believe that almost anyone is inherently bad, lazy, angry, or malicious -- I believe that all of the behaviors connected to those labels come from some kind of emotional obstacle that each person is dealing with. While it does take work and commitment to change our habits, I don't think there is anyone incapable of change if they want it. The foundation of any major change is recognizing the problem, and then figuring out what works for each individual to start doing things differently. I don't "blame" parents or childhood experiences for current struggles or behaviors, but I like to recognize the connections that may be there. I don't judge anyone for their past, or for decisions they have made, but sometimes it's important to dig into those to find what's lying underneath. I also think that there is a strong connection between mind and body, and we can learn to work with that to make things better, or even to get stronger!
