About My Clients
Externally, you’ve got it all together. Maybe you're even admired and praised by friends, family, and colleagues for being a "high-achiever", but your inner critic is the loudest voice you hear. You’re overwhelmed by worries, worst-case scenarios, & “what if’s”, despite trying to push away the uncomfortable thoughts. Whether you’ve always struggled with anxiety and self-criticism, or new experiences and life transitions aren’t living up to expectations, you don’t have to manage it alone.
My Background and Approach
I help millennials and new moms just like you figure out exactly how to take care of themselves in the present so you can then focus on what’s going to fulfill you in the future. As a recovering perfectionist, I understand what it’s like to prioritize productivity over self-care and be driven by anxiety, self-doubt, and a fear of failure. With support, I learned that you don’t have to continue to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. I’m here to partner with you in learning these tools and finding lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach to therapy is engaging individuals as the expert of their own experiences, values, & identities. In order for us to have an authentic connection in our work together, I create space to acknowledge our intersectional identities. I come from an exploratory, client-centered perspective while holding an affirming and non-judgmental space. I make sure that you set the pace throughout our collaboration. My practice is inclusive, and I have experience working with LGBTQIA+, multicultural, and neurodivergent folks. Prior to creating my practice, I worked within the criminal justice system supporting individuals around intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, complex trauma, severe and persistent mental illnesses, substance use, incarceration, unstable housing, and systemic oppression.
