About My Clients
Do you feel like you need to make changes in your life but you are not sure where to start? Has there been big change in your life and need someone to talk to? These challenges can cause feelings of stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and loneliness. I support young adults who are having career challenges, relationships, and dating. I also work with individuals who are living with cancer/chronic illnesses, caregivers, those that are grieving, general mental health, and those that have lost a pet.
My Background and Approach
At a young age, I knew my passion was to help people. I always wanted to be the support or listening ear that people needed. This ultimately lead me to a career as a psychotherapist. I have years of experience working at outpatient mental health clinics in the Bronx and in Harlem. I am an Oncology Social Worker- Certified (OSW-C) and also have a certification as a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS). My approach combines psychodynamic therapy, talk therapy, solution focused therapy, and strengths based perspective. I believe it is important for us to talk about your prior and current experiences and how they impact your thoughts, feelings and behaviors today. Once you understand who you really are, you can make those positive changes to help you achieve your life goals. I am here to make it a safe, comfortable, and worthwhile experience for you. I always provide a non-judgmental space so you can be your authentic self.
