I understand the unique challenges that come with trying to balance your own needs and desires with those of others I specialize in helping clients navigate these challenges and build the necessary skills to manage their anxiety and emotions effectively.
My Background and Approach
I am committed to helping clients explore their inner selves and live more meaningful lives. I utilize an integrative approach that draws on four key areas- emergent practice, childhood family dynamics, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through emergent practice, we focus on the present moment and exploring experiences and interactions in order to gain deeper insight and understanding. With a focus on childhood family dynamics, we delve into the past to identify patterns and underlying dynamics that may be impacting their present life. DBT provides practical tools to manage emotions and tolerate distress, and ACT helps clients accept difficult experiences while aligning with their values. Together, we create a customized treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and goals, helping you move toward a more fulfilling and values-driven life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a world with less shame and loneliness; and with more community and people who can truly "see" each other. I think we could all use a little more acceptance of our own and another's humanity. I believe people can create beautiful lives that may look different from others, from their parents, or from what they expected for themselves.
