About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you're carrying more than most people realize? Whether you're navigating a chronic illness, raising a child with ADHD, or walking the unique path of adoption, it can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and lonely at times. As an adoptive parent and someone living with Myasthenia Gravis since 2015, I understand these challenges both personally and professionally. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can build resilience, manage stress and strengthen relationships
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed therapist and founder of Mile High Counseling LLC, specializing in anxiety, life transitions, chronic illness, adoptive parenting, ADHD parenting, and sports performance. As someone living with Myasthenia Gravis since 2015 and an adoptive parent, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to the therapy process. Clients often tell me they appreciate working with someone who understands the real-world challenges they're facing. I use evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions, to help clients build practical coping skills, improve resilience, and create meaningful change. As a former Division I athlete, I also help athletes strengthen confidence, focus, and mental performance. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing starts with feeling truly seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that everyone has strengths they can build upon, even during difficult seasons of life. As an adoptive parent and someone living with Myasthenia Gravis since 2015, I understand firsthand the challenges of navigating uncertainty, caregiving, and life circumstances that others may not fully understand. These experiences have deepened my commitment to helping individuals facing chronic illness, parenting challenges, stress, anxiety, and major life transitions. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming, and judgment-free space for people of all identities and backgrounds. I value resilience, connection, personal growth, and self-compassion, and I work to help clients recognize their strengths while developing practical tools to navigate life's challenges with confidence and hope.
