About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or relationship challenges? Perhaps you're a woman or parent navigating the complex shifts of parenthood, feeling like your identity is changing and you're struggling to find balance? I understand these feelings deeply. Like the example provided, I know the weight of constant worry and the feeling of being "hit with surprise anxiety." My ideal clients are individuals and couples ready to explore these challenges in a warm, judgment-free space.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. My extensive experience, including specialized training in perinatal and maternal mental health, allows me to truly understand the unique challenges women and parents face. I utilize an integrative approach, blending Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness. This means you benefit from a tailored approach that helps you understand how past experiences influence your present, gain clarity on your inner world, and develop practical tools for managing stress and enhancing well-being. My goal is to empower you to feel more grounded, connected, and ultimately, live a more fulfilling life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beyond my clinical practice, I'm passionate about supporting women and mothers, recognizing the immense strength and unique challenges within these roles. I believe in fostering a world where mental health is prioritized and stigma is dismantled, especially concerning perinatal and maternal well-being. I actively engage with resources and communities that advocate for these causes. I also deeply value social justice and inclusivity, recognizing that individual well-being is intrinsically linked to broader societal equity. While I may not list specific affiliations here, my therapeutic approach is rooted in understanding and respecting diverse backgrounds and experiences. I strive to create a safe and affirming space for everyone, regardless of their identity or background.
