About My Clients
I work primarily with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I love working with folks who are just coming out and into their identities.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a collaborative endeavor and I am here to support you in your growth. Whatever it may be that brings you to therapy, I can offer a warm, safe, and engaging space for you to explore what is getting in the way. I am interested in cultivating your awareness to allow you to uncover patterns that no longer serve you. My approach is, above all else, trauma informed. I spent a year offering crisis counseling to LGBTQIA+ and HIV-affected survivors of violence, and continue to work with people who have experienced different forms of trauma. My work is additionally influenced by Gestalt therapy. I am in my third year of a four-year clinical fellowship at the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, where I am undergoing rigorous training. Gestalt is a holistic, person-centered, and relational approach to therapy. I will orient you to the present while addressing any unfinished business of the past. I am licensed in NY, and NJ.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist to be the person I needed when I was younger. I grew up in upstate New York where I didn't see anyone like me. I remember my mind being blown when I found my first trans therapist as a young adult. It is such a gift to walk alongside folks in their journey.
