About My Clients
If you find yourself lacking motivation, feeling exhausted or numb, constantly overthinking, or weighed down by guilt, you aren't alone, and things don't have to feel this way. I work with teens and adults to help explore and process difficult emotions, identify coping strategies, and build a new kinder relationship with yourself. If you are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma - or even if you don't know what to call it, change begins with reaching out for help.
My Background and Approach
I believe you are the expert of your own life, and that you already hold the strength needed to grow and heal. My role is to offer a warm, supportive, judgment-free space where you can explore your emotions, thoughts, and challenges at your own pace. I use an integrative approach, blending CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused strategies to meet your unique needs. I hold a BA in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from East Carolina University with a focus in clinical and mental health work. As an LCSW-A, I have experience supporting teens and adults facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anger issues, suicidal thoughts, and self-harming behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health services should be available to everyone regardless of sex, race, age, disability status, or sexual orientation. I am culturally competent, LGBTQ and trans friendly, and accepting of all ages. I am also familiar with alternative relationship styles such as polyamory. I believe that all walks of life hold value. Whether you draw strength from your religion, your spirituality, your personal identity, or all of the above, I am dedicated to supporting you in your healing journey with respect for your beliefs and your identity.
