About My Clients
My clients are adults and teens navigating stress, anxiety, grief, and life transitions with emphasis on identity, career coaching and bereavement. A lot of my clients also deal with men's issues including masculinity, cultural expression and emotional communication.
My Background and Approach
I’m a second-generation Vietnamese American (he/him) social worker, therapist and certified Brené Brown facilitator who works with adults and teens navigating stress, anxiety, grief, and life transitions with emphasis on identity, career coaching and bereavement. I also specialize in men's issues including masculinity, cultural expression and emotional communication. I bring a warm, collaborative style to every session and draw from CBT, DBT, and EMDR to help clients move toward clarity and healing. Guided by empathy and generosity, I show up fully for my clients - listening deeply, honoring their pace, and offering steady support through change. Outside of therapy, I enjoy cooking, hiking and birding during my travels.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health is a reflection of not just our individual needs, but also our cultural and community values and norms. I am an unapologetic 2nd generation Vietnamese American who stands for racial and gender equity. I value diversity and inclusion, and see therapy as a space for intergenerational trauma to heal and leverage parts of our history and experiences in resilient wisdom.
