About My Clients
My work with clients focuses on meeting them where they are and helping them understand their current struggles within the context of their life story. I specialize in addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore emotions, patterns, and behaviors openly. Together, we identify goals and build practical tools that support stability, insight, and lasting change while honoring each client’s lived experience.
My Background and Approach
My clinical approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy principles, and a neuroscience-informed understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. I draw on my background in neuroscience to help clients understand the biological and psychological mechanisms that contribute to distress, while keeping the work practical and applicable to daily life. I have extensive experience working with individuals navigating addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties, and I tailor interventions to each client’s needs and readiness for change. I view therapy as a collaborative process that balances insight with action—helping clients identify unhelpful patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. Narrative approaches allow clients to explore and re-author the stories they hold about themselves, while CBT provides structured tools to shift thoughts and behaviors.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is most effective when it is grounded in collaboration, respect, and genuine curiosity. Each client brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges, and I view them as the expert in their own life. My role is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where they can explore what is working, what is not, and what change might look like for them. I believe meaningful growth happens when clients feel safe enough to be honest with themselves and the therapeutic process. I also take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing the connection between emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Rather than imposing a fixed path, I help clients build awareness and agency so they can make choices aligned with their values. I approach therapy with humility, understanding that growth is not linear and that each person’s pace deserves respect. Ultimately, I see therapy as a space for healing, clarity, and reconnection with one’s sense of self and direction.
