My Background and Approach
I chose to be a mental health provider because I noticed at an early age mental health was not discussed in my community. I would notice that there was a lot of shame tied to utilizing mental health resources, which pushed me to want to be a mental health counselor and help de-stigmatize mental health services for everyone. I want to be able to provide a safe space for everyone while also helping them navigate any of life’s troubles with others. I loves being able to wake up every day knowing that I am trying to make a difference to someone in their life. I appreciates working with different groups of people and being able to connect with them.
