Whether you’re facing retirement, loss, loneliness, or shifts in identity, I offer a compassionate space to process grief, ease anxiety, and rebuild self-worth. You don’t have to face these transitions alone.
My Background and Approach
I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with seniors in both in-patient and out-patient settings. This extends to seniors of a variety of autonomy and backgrounds. My focus on the counseling session is on exploring personal meaning and attachment to life events, relationships, and life itself. My goal is to create an inviting space for those seeking help to feel comfortable through the therapeutic journey. I want your experiences to feel valued and worthwhile while finding new appreciations for what life has to offer.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you have the opportunity to learn from every person you meet. By taking the time to stop and listen to what others have to say, we give ourselves the chance to grow beyond our expectations. That is partially why I have an affinity towards working with older adults. Their experiences, no matter how big or small, have the capability to teach. Because of this, I have always felt that seniors are significantly under-valued for the immense wisdom they provide. However, I think this trait still extends to younger adults. Everyone's experience through life is unique. We become so used to our own life that we often forget the importance and impact our life events have had on ourselves and others. By sharing these experiences, we give ourselves and others a chance to learn and become closer to one another.
