About My Clients
Do you feel overwhelmed by societal expectations, struggling to find your authentic self? I specialize in supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ adults who are seeking a deeper understanding of their identities and experiences. Together, we'll explore your unique strengths, challenge unhelpful narratives, and develop coping strategies tailored to your life. My goal is to empower you to live more authentically and confidently.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), I work with adult individuals, focusing on neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ identities, and the challenges that come with navigating a world that often misunderstands these experiences. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centered, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential frameworks. I prioritize creating a nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their values, identities, and goals. By fostering genuine, open communication, I aim to build a trusting relationship that supports your journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Champlain College and an M.A. in Counseling from Marymount University.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the transformative power of understanding and embracing one's true self. As a nonbinary therapist, I am deeply committed to providing affirming care that respects and celebrates diverse identities and experiences. I am passionate about dismantling societal stigmas surrounding neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+ identities, helping clients unlearn harmful narratives and replace them with empowering truths. Outside of therapy, I find joy in listening to music and audiobooks, walking my Cockapoo named Puck, and engaging in tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. These activities enrich my life and inform my empathetic, creative approach to counseling.
