About My Clients
Starting therapy is an exciting but courageous task. I'm here to guide my clients to take the next step toward becoming their best self whether that be personally or in their most important relationships. I serve adult couples and individuals on a variety of challenges including relationship difficulties, communication blocks, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. It is my goal to help you find hope and empowerment both personally and for the relationships that matter most to you.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in relationship work both with couples and individuals. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Oregon State University. I also have received additional training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Additionally, I am a certified Prepare/Enrich premarital program facilitator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that connection to oneself and others is the foundation of one’s sense of security, purpose, and fulfillment. The experience of disconnection is distressing because we as humans are wired to be close to others from the moment we enter the world, my work with clients is informed by this core reality. I believe that the work done in therapy centers around trust and connection, and as a therapist I strive to create a welcoming space in which you can feel safe enough to grow into the person you want to be - regardless of your gender, sexual orientation, racial/ethnic background, immigration status, disability status, political affiliation, or spiritual or religious beliefs. Your concerns are our focus and you are safe to be you.
