About My Clients
I see clients individually, couples, and families. I work with a population with a variety of types of issues, including communication problems, conflict resolution, emotional intimacy, trust issues, parenting challenges, life transitions, mental health concerns, substance abuse, infidelity, and financial stress. I am known by my clients to be an empathetic listener, with a non-judgmental attitude, as well as being dedicated to helping them achieve their goals and improve their well-being.
My Background and Approach
I believe there isn't a "one size fits all" when it comes to therapy, and it is important to me that my clients feel seen and heard as we work together toward growth and change. I am a person-centered and integrative therapist. This means when we meet, you are the expert of your life and experiences, and my focus is helping guide you where you would like yourself to be. I specialize in relational issues and pull from CBT, DBT, SFBT, and Gottman Couple's Method. My clients often tell me in our first session that they felt nervous prior to meeting me, but quickly became at ease and safe to share what they are going through, easily. During and after our sessions you can expect to feel seen, heard, understood, and regarded with warmth. We will discuss our plan for next session and identify personal goals for the week.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value personal growth and well-being, self-care and engaging in healthy relationships. I believe empathy, tolerance, compassion, and understanding are important qualities in humanity.
