About My Clients

In my leisure time I enjoy painting and drawing, expressive writing, exercise, travel, walking my dog and spending time with family and friends.
My Background and Approach
I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology: Art Therapy from Adler University, formally known as The Adler School of Professional Psychology. Leading up to this, I received my BA at Columbia College, Columbia, MO. My areas of concentration included Psychology, Education and Art. I completed internships in Columbia, MO., Evanston and Chicago Il. These included The Services of Independent Living, a group home for individuals with ASD., The Rice Child and Family Center, a youth residential center for psychiatric and behavioral disorders and The Art Therapy Connection, Art Therapy services within the Evanston and Chicago Public Schools. For the past 10 years I have been employed at ABBHH in the Art Therapy and Adolescent Partial program. There I am a case manager, therapeutic educator, group, family and individual therapist. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I strongly believe that the healing process begins when a therapeutic relationship is established and that the power of art is an important piece of this process.
