My Background and Approach
I am dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s most transformative and challenging moments. My goal is to create an affirming space where my clients feel safe to explore their feelings, experiences, and fears. My approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, where we do a deep dive into values and how to engage with these more intentionally. While I am specialized in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, I also enjoy working with clients experiencing depression, OCD, life stress, trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, and more. I strive to be a warm presence, and will sit you and whatever discomfort may come up in a session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are all life-long learners, and this is certainly the perspective I try to carry into my personal life. I like to remind myself and my clients that it's ok to make mistakes and get it wrong - that's where a lot of our most impactful learning takes place! I think if more of us would embrace this idea, we could make room for more empathy for ourselves and for each other. I work to be affirming and celebratory of all walks of life and expressions. As a social worker, social justice and advocacy are central to my values, and I strive to incorporate these into my work and personal life.
