About My Clients

You want more truth, and you definitely don’t want to keep sacrificing your own needs and desires. Wherever you are on your journey, you deserve to feel seen and heard.
My Background and Approach
I believe one of the bravest decisions you can make is to begin to understand your own story. Having overcome my own obstacles in life, I value providing an inclusive, down-to-earth space where clients can show up exactly as they are. For over a decade, I have committed my life to learn various therapeutic modalities to support clients. I work with clients to examine the behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that inform their life and sense of self. My work is rooted in person-centered, existential, narrative, and IFS modalities. But those are just guiding points. Therapy isn’t about working within tiny, neat boxes. Our work will be unique and evolving. It will grow as you grow. I primarily work with adults, and I have a specialized focus in trauma, women’s issues, and serving the LGBTQI+ community. I also believe advocacy is an essential part of mental health treatment- I work through a social justice lens, and I wholeheartedly embrace a Health at Every Size approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You are the expert of your own life and I trust that you can decide what works best for you. I’m here to help you uncover your truth and honor how you want to show up in this world. You are so much more than a label, diagnosis, or set of symptoms. And therapy is so much more than just solving a specific problem. This is a process where we connect, learn, and grow from one another. My pathway to becoming a therapist has not always been easy, but it has been full of powerful lessons — and I’m here to bring the benefits to you! Instead of trying to be what my family, friends, or society wanted me to be, I connected to how I wanted to show up in the world. (It wasn’t easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.)
