About My Clients
I work with individuals, families, caregivers 12+ specializing in issues relating to complex trauma (CPTSD), transracial/international adoption, LGBTQ+, and Neurodivergence (ADHD). If you are looking to heal from trauma, increase your understanding of how your nervous system operates, or improve your mind-body connection, you're in the right place!
My Background and Approach
I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic therapy practices, mindfulness, and my own lived experience to help clients regulate their nervous systems and regain a sense of internal safety. I help adopted people and their families understand the complexities of the adoption industry and impacts throughout the lifespan.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am always a human before I am a therapist. My aim is to create a safe space for my clients unpack their experiences free from judgement and anything that ends in -ist/-ism. I believe transparency between therapist and client is an imperative element in creating a strong therapeutic relationship. I will laugh with you and challenge you to operate outside of your comfort zone when needed. Just because I'm a therapist, does NOT mean I automatically earn your trust. I only ask my clients to be curious and open to new ideas. Outside of my clinical work, I like to read, connect with friends, explore nature, & listen to music/podcasts. I am the Director of Mental Health & Wellness for a local non-profit agency that offers camp experience to pediatric oncology patients and their families.
