About My Clients
I work with clients of practically all ages from childhood to adolescence to adulthood. As someone who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I also serve clients in the community. I have experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, social skills, and emotional dysregulation, among others.
My Background and Approach
I have my clinical license (LAC) and national certification (NCC). I have years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I previously worked as a therapist at a program similar to an intensive outpatient program for adults. Prior to that I did my internships with children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. I have a knack for art that I use at times in sessions. I utilize play and talk therapy as well as art with young clients and use more talk therapy with older populations, but I can still get creative with them as well. I pull from several approached including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, and person-centered. I try my best to meet my clients where they're at, and I'm flexible in my approach.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal belief is that almost anybody can benefit from therapeutic services. While many come to therapy when something is "wrong," it can also be used as a tool to help build skills or to better process the week you're going through. I value honesty and kindness, so you can bet I'm going to be as honest and kind as I can with anyone I work with. I believe that there is no cookie-cutter one-size-fits-all way to do therapy, so I am not afraid to get creative with new techniques and approaches. I believe that you, as the client, know yourself the best. I let you take the wheel while providing gentle support and guidance where needed as we work together on your healing journey. I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community as well and am body positive. I provide a safe space to talk and process for everyone who enters my office.
