About My Clients
I have worked with child, teens and adults in various different settings. Clients can expect to take away a greater understanding of themselves, their emotions, and their thought patterns. They will learn new coping skills and strategies to manage stress, anxiety and other mental health issues. Clients will also gain insight and clarify into their relationships and how to communicate effectively. Overall, they can expect to feel empowered, supported, & more equipped to navigate life's challenges
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed mental health counselor. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Drexel University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Long Island University-Post Campus. I have worked with child and teens within a therapeutic setting and a school setting. I have worked with adults in a therapeutic setting, substance clinic and residential setting. As a therapist, my guiding principle is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a deep commitment to your well-being. I understand that seeking therapy can be a courageous step towards healing and growth, and I am here to provide you with a safe and supportive space on your journey. My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered. I believe in the power of a trusting therapeutic relationship, where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment. Together, we will work to uncover underlying patterns, develop coping strategies, and cultivate resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't discriminate against anyone.
