About My Clients
I work with folks who have anxiety, depression, stress, and fatigue. Who have big questions about who they are and why they are the way they are. I work with people when they lose something important or someone they love. Or whose life has changed in a big way, or in small ways over time until one day you wake up and don't recognize yourself or the landscape of your life.
My Background and Approach
We don't usually get to the feeling bad feelings overnight. It's most often a slow creep that we do our best to keep at bay until the things that have always worked to manage the feeling bad feelings don't work anymore. That's usually when we ask for help. I'm here for this moment. And I'm here for the unraveling of all the deep, achy questions. I'm here to get underneath what's working and what's not working for you. And I'm here for the rebuilding. My clients usually start to feel better - some amount of relief - fairly quickly. I'm here for this. But I'm also here for the longer, deeper work that creates lasting shifts and changes so that you can feel better long into the future. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology, where I was trained in relational, psychodynamic therapy. I've been seeing clients in my private practice since September 2012, and I love my work.
