Somatic (mind-body) Psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples and youth (ages 10+) of all different backgrounds and identities.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in San Francisco, CA
I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies with a MA in Somatic (mind-body) psychology. I draw from over 4 years of training in Formative Psychology, which helps us to sense and shift how we are forming our embodied experience, well as generative somatics, which allows us to put into practice new ways of engaging in interpersonal dynamics.
I bring over 13 years experience as a registered yoga teacher working with individuals to feel calm and at ease through breathing, gentle movement and present-moment focus. I have taught mindfulness for preteens/teens in schools for 4 years.
There are many different things that can cause anxiety and no matter the root of anxiety its effects can be debilitating. I work with clients to understand how their nervous system works, how incidental or ongoing trauma shapes our ability to feel regulated and how to feel more grounded and at ease through the mind-body connection.
I am honored to support other white people in waking up to our cultural conditioning of privilege and power. Operating all the time (in social environments, work settings, inter-racial relationships, etc) white privilege is something we have learned well as white people and can un-learn through compassion, guidance and support.
I work with adults, couples and young people undergoing life transitions where instability, overwhelm, fear and doubt are common. Together we support you to feel resilient and empowered in the in the presence of the "UNKNOWN", to grieve what you are letting go of and to welcome in what's coming next.
