About My Clients
My area of expertise is working with adults as they navigate grief and loss experiences and life transitions. I specialize in supporting those that have lost a loved one suddenly/unexpectedly or due to a substance use disorder. Additionally, I am passionate about supporting adults experiencing postpartum issues, confronting aging/end of life, managing caregiving stress, and compassion fatigue in their professional lives.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Thanatologist (expertise in death, dying, and bereavement). My therapeutic approach is eclectic in nature. I recognize the client as the expert in their experience. Together, we will determine which modalities will be the most supportive and effective. Our work will likely include elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Strength-Based Perspectives, Gestalt, and Humanistic approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a white, cis, neurotypical, able-bodied, jewish, woman. I strive to integrate cultural humility within my work and acknowledge the role of my priviledge within the therapeutic experience.
