About My Clients
I work with thoughtful, capable adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in repeating relationship patterns. Many struggle with people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions. Some are aware their struggles may be connected to earlier life experiences, while others simply know something isn’t working and want to understand themselves more deeply, are curious about themselves and willing to explore the patterns influencing their sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I have over 30 years of clinical experience helping adults work through anxiety, trauma, and long-standing relational patterns that often develop in difficult family environments. My work focuses on complex and relational trauma, including childhood sexual trauma, as well as patterns such as people-pleasing, chronic anxiety, and difficulty setting healthy boundaries. I hold a doctorate in Contemporary Psychoanalysis and have additional training in EMDR and Bioenergetic Analysis, with further study in Somatic Experiencing, Gestalt therapy, Redecision therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, integrating insight-oriented and somatic perspectives to help clients understand the deeper patterns shaping their lives while developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and a stronger relationship with themselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value compassion, curiosity, and respect for the complexity of human experience. I believe therapy should be a place where people feel safe, respected, and free to explore their lives honestly. I support the dignity and wellbeing of all people, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and care deeply about issues affecting children, women, community and the health of our environment.
