About My Clients
Trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, depression, life-transitions, self-esteem, relationships - being a human is HARD. Maybe you've hit a wall, maybe you're tired of suffering, finding your old coping strategies aren't enough, trapped in cycles that aren't serving you. I love working with people who are ready to feel better, ready to dig deep and do the work. Once you have a place where you feel seen, heard and held without judgment, you naturally begin to heal. Allow me to be that place for you.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, my style is warm, heart-centered and compassionate - with a healthy dash of sarcasm thrown in. I work experientially, approaching whatever is alive for you in the moment, utilizing psychodynamic, somatic/body-oriented, IFS "parts" work, process, and expressive arts therapies. I have years of experience as a therapist (and a client). I know what it's like to sit in that chair, I know what it's like to struggle and I know what it is like to HEAL. I believe wholeheartedly in this work because I have seen it work myself. And if you have found your way here and are reading this, then perhaps you're ready to see it too.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an artist, singer and storyteller on a mission to heal through creative self-expression. I feel strongly about creating healing community experiences. I lead community singing circles where we use the power of singing to feel and heal together. I am also heavily involved in communal grief rituals, where we use ritual, community and song to hold space for deep ancestral grieving. I have years of experiencing supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and I run a weekly support group for survivors.
