About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Many come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in repeating relationship patterns. This season often brings identity shifts, emotional strain, and an uneven mental load. In therapy, we slow down and make space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface so that individuals and couples can feel more connected, supported, and understood.
My Background and Approach
With advanced training in perinatal mental health and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I specialize in working with individuals and couples during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood, a season that often brings heightened emotions, relationship strain, and shifts in identity. My work is grounded in attachment theory and evidence-based practices, with a focus on understanding emotional patterns, strengthening connection, and helping clients feel more secure in themselves and their relationships. Rather than focusing on quick fixes, we slow down to explore what’s happening beneath the surface so change feels meaningful and lasting. As a former educator and a mother, I bring a collaborative, thoughtful approach and a real understanding of the mental and emotional load that often accompanies the perinatal period. My goal is to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and less alone as they navigate this chapter of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe relationships are central to emotional well-being. Our connections (with partners, children, and ourselves) shape how safe, supported, and understood we feel. During the perinatal period, when relationships are often under strain and shifting, these changes can impact every part of life. I believe knowledge is empowering, especially during pregnancy and early parenthood, when emotional, relational, and identity shifts can feel confusing or isolating. When experiences are named and better understood, shame often softens and people feel more equipped to care for themselves and their relationships. I value bringing these often-hidden parts of the perinatal experience into the light. I believe meaningful change is possible when the right conditions are present: emotional safety, curiosity, and support. In my work, I strive to create a space where experiences are normalized, emotions are welcomed, and growth feels both attainable and humane.
