Jacqueline Getchius

I have been in the mental health field for 17 years. During that time, I have consistently seen how women’s mental health can fluctuate across the lifespan. It is an honor to help women like you find hope and healing through challenges that appear at each of life’s stages. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. Some years later, as friends began to tell me how I had a knack of being a good listener, I realized that I enjoyed being able to be there for others in their time of need. Later, in college, I found that I had a great passion for learning about the inner workings of our minds and behavior. What I enjoy about providing counseling, is that moment when a client reaches their goal and feels more peace in their day to day life. My qualifications include licensure is as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I use techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy to help you find healing.

Outside of time at Wellspring Women’s Counseling, I love spending time with my husband, son, family, and friends. I enjoy passions of running, biking, art, and trying out new recipes on my kitchen. What’s more, I am actively involved in my church holding a council position on the Children’s Ministry committee. I very much believe in the power of giving back to our communities. I have had the pleasure of providing presentations within the community on the Be SMART program, promoting gun safety protocols and suicide prevention. I am also on the Wellness Committee within my school district and participate in my son’s school Parent/Teacher Association. I find any opportunity I can to help promote inclusivity in our society and am passionate about helping those feeling excluded be immersed into a community by providing them support.
