About My Clients
My clients usually come with intrusive thoughts or obsessions and anxieties that are getting in the way of living their life how they want. I treat clients from the age of 15 and up, primarily focusing on anxiety disorders and mood regulation. I also have experience working with people on the Autism Spectrum and navigating their particular challenges.
My Background and Approach
I am a fully licensed Masters Level Social Worker in the State of Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and graduated from Grand Valley State University with my Masters In Social Work. I have over 5 years of clinical experience with all major mental health challenges. I founded Stone Social Services LLC in September 2021, and have been treating clients with varying mental health challenges. My clinical strengths are in treating teens and adults suffering from OCD, Anxiety, Depression and mood regulation. My primary treatment approach is through the lens of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) What if you could accept and allow yourself to feel what you feel, even if it’s negative? ACT helps guide the mind to Acceptance, and commitment to one’s true values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is about supporting the client through their mental health journey, not about what the therapist believes to be best or true. In order to be an objective and unbiased therapist, I strive to have my personal beliefs irrelevant to my clients therapy. That being said, I believe it’s important to note that I am experienced in, and accepting and affirming of trans/Non-binary individuals, am open, and hoping, to working with clients all political beliefs, racial identities, and religious/spiritual affiliations.
