About My Clients
I work with people coming to therapy for all kinds of reasons. From dealing with day-to-day stressors, to overcoming unresolved trauma, therapy can strengthen your understanding of who you are, promote personal growth, and deepen your relationships with others. Everybody deserves to feel fulfilled and authentic to who they are. Therapy is a tool to empower yourself to create positive change and improve your overall life satisfaction.
My Background and Approach
After starting my career in the business world, I eventually took a step back and realized how I was really feeling: burned out, unmotivated, and unfulfilled. I decided to become a therapist so I could build real connections with people and help them find their own version of change and fulfillment. My approach is to create a warm and collaborative environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. We'll work towards identifying and understanding the underlying issues that are causing distress, developing practical coping skills, and achieving set goals. I place emphasis on empowerment and self-discovery. This means that I often take the role of a facilitator or a mentor, rather than a "coach" who dictates every answer.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person can achieve their goals, wishes, and desires in life. Yet most people will hit a point when that just feels impossible. Just because someone CAN push through this period on their own, that doesn't meant that they HAVE to. In order for them to grow, they need an environment that provides authenticity, acceptance, and empathy.
