About My Clients
I work with adults facing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, life transitions, relationship challenges, and struggles with emotional regulation. I have a particular interest in working with men who feel disconnected from themselves, uncertain about their direction, or caught in patterns that no longer serve them. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves and build lives guided by their values rather than their fears.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My clinical experience includes working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, severe mental illness, substance use, and crisis in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to remain calm, compassionate, and collaborative even when life feels overwhelming. My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while drawing from other evidence-based approaches to meet each client's unique needs. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients develop practical skills to respond differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, build psychological flexibility, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and aligned with their values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe meaningful change begins with genuine understanding rather than judgment. My goal is to create a space where clients can openly explore their experiences, even the parts that feel difficult to discuss. I value curiosity, authenticity, and collaboration, and I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. While I have a particular interest in helping men reconnect with themselves and navigate life's challenges, I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and strive to provide an affirming, culturally responsive environment where clients can pursue the life they want to build.
