My Background and Approach
With 4 years of evidenced-based, trauma-informed therapeutic work, I specialize in helping young children, youth, and adults in processing their concerns in a holistic manner where the past, present, and future are all taken into account to provide long-lasting individualistic growth. I have supported individuals in navigating trauma, emotional dysregulation, and grief and loss of many forms. I have extensively utilized play therapy in creative manners when working with youth. When working with teenagers and adults, I utilize a needs-based approach where client's present thoughts and emotions can be explored, processed, and understood. Throughout my clinical work, I have felt that these experiences arise for a reason and should be tended to. I work to support client's in understanding their concerns and developing creative and scientifically-supported solutions to promote long-lasting growth, while also supporting in understanding the tools one can utilize to heal further.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of change at any time in their lives. I believe that all individuals have positive qualities and is capable of unlocking their inner creativity to promote long-lasting growth, while also understanding themselves from multiple facets of their life. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 4 years of clinical experience, I have learned and greatly appreciated the special environment and experience that is therapy treatment. Being given the privilege to work with individuals of a variety of ages, backgrounds, economic statuses, and cultures has remained a positive aspect of my career that encourages me to remain open-minded when learning about and alongside my clients, while also becoming increasingly more motivated to aid in long-lasting, supportive, creative, and growth-oriented positive change.
