About My Clients
When you first contemplate therapy, it could feel like an insurmountable hurdle. The individuals I have the privilege of working with once felt the same way! They embody courage, resilience, and determination and now are flourishing, achieving what once seemed like an unattainable dream. Their initial doubts have been proven wrong. By taking the crucial first step into therapy, they have initiated transformative change that will positively impact their daily lives indefinitely.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained my masters in social work at New York University. I have experience working with all ages, substance use, severe mental illness, and intellectual disabilities. The settings I have worked in include outpatient mental health and substance abuse clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private therapy practices, and a state psychiatric hospital. I am dedicated to improving the mental health and well- being of individuals struggling or just seeking someone to talk to. I strive to provide a comforting, safe, non judgmental, open and honest space. I specialize in treating anxiety and depression, as well as life changes, conflict, relationship, and family issues. I work with various populations including adolescents and adults. Treatment approaches that I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Approach, and Motivational Interview.
