About My Clients
I often work with college students and young adult clients seeking tools for their perfectionism, OCD “thought spirals,”panic attacks, depression, burnout, social anxiety, and/or anxiety related to daily life. Life as a young adult has many demands, & when symptoms get in the way, achieving your goals can feel effortful. You may feel like you’ve tried everything to manage your symptoms, but you still don’t feel reassured. I offer an individualized approach to help to get your thoughts unstuck.
My Background and Approach
I prioritize the therapeutic relationship & believe it’s the small things that create this alliance; you’ll notice how I remember those details you told me because what you say is important to me! Each person’s treatment is approached uniquely because each person is different in their own special way. I aim to be thorough in my sessions & strive for each session to be a resting place. I offer down-to-earth talk with my clients about their concerns, as well as evidence based practices to help clients find tangible relief. I believe you will find the therapeutic process to be nonjudgmental and insightful. With me,the pressure to “be a certain way” is off. I often use therapeutic, relationship-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) frameworks in my sessions. These frameworks include CBT, DBT, ERP, and I-CBT. In the end, we are all human and many of us suffer with mental health concerns. We should never feel ashamed over this. I encourage you to reach out.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a passionate advocate for mental health and value the power of connection among all living beings. I am also a strong advocate for animal welfare. I value the emotional connection people and animals can share, and I appreciate the comfort, meaning, and support animals can bring to the lives of humans, especially those struggling with mental health.
