About My Clients
I specialize in supporting teens, young adults and parents, with a particular interest in working with neurodivergent individuals across life stages and transitions. I am passionate about helping others build emotional resilience through developing enhanced problem solving and coping skills. As a school social worker, I have a comprehensive understanding of educational systems, and I can assist parents in understanding and navigating school-based supports, 504 plans and IEPs.
My Background and Approach
I work with adolescents, young adults and parents through individual, group, and family services. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am passionate about empowering individuals to navigate life transitions and challenges, across age and developmental stages. My experience and training have guided my therapeutic approaches to include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and the Social Thinking methodology. I use a strengths-based, proactive problem-solving approach with my clients and their families, with an emphasis on building co-regulation strategies and practices, informed by relational neuroscience. I aim to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental spacer. My goal is to empower individuals and families with the tools and insights they need to overcome challenges and thrive. I believe in a strengths-based approach, focusing on what the client can do well and working collaboratively towards identified goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in “grow through what you go through” and I would love to partner with you in your pursuit of personal growth. I value partnering with parents, schools and other service providers, to create a cohesive support system for the adolescent and the family.
