About My Clients
Finding the right therapist isn’t always an easy endeavor. I hope to bring a judgement free space of trust, vulnerability and mutual respect as we navigate some of life’s most difficult feelings and experiences. I incorporate CBT, ACT and ERP along with various tools I have picked up along the way to better learn how to live an abundant life alongside unwanted thoughts and emotions.
My Background and Approach
I am currently completing supervision under Christi Lawson, LCSW. I graduated from UT Arlington with my Masters in Social Work. I have experience in the hospital setting, Intensive Outpatient Program leading group therapy and one on one therapy. I’ve experienced firsthand how debilitating mental health struggles can be and also know how much the right therapy can bring relief. I feel an obligation to help others with similar experiences because there is immense hope. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a foundation along with Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Exposure & Response Prevention. Whether we are treating OCD specifically or not, we are treating the whole individual. We are all unique and complex and I love incorporating IFS to bring better compassion to ourselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is hope in the midst of the most difficult scenarios and that therapy can help lay the groundwork for how we best handle our situations.
